Norman Tottle
My first camera in 1964 was a Kodak
Brownie Vecta that I used when I could afford to buy the
B&W film, mainly for holidays and days out.
My next camera was an ASAHI PENTAX KX, bought in 1976.
I thought it was an ideal camera to record my travels
around Europe, this is when I became interested in landscape
and wild life photography.
I had 4 prime lenses, 28mm, 50mm, 105mm and 200mm.
This camera stayed with me still 1995 when I bought the
Pentax Espio 160. This was my first zoom lens camera and it
replaced the KX because of ease of use and not having to carry
all the lenses around.
In 2000 I purchased a Fujifilm MX2700, when the digital
revolution arrived and it went everywhere with me.
In 2004 I obtained the Fujifilm S5000 because of the
limitations of the 2700 and I was gaining a renewed interest
in taking photos again instead of snaps.
In May 2007 I moved up the digital ladder and bought the Nikon
D80. With this camera I think I can call myself a General
Digital Photographer. I
have four zoom lenses now, Sigma 10-20, Nikon 18-70, Sigma
70-300 APO and
Tokina 80-400. So
really back where I was in 1976, oh dear, here we go again.
