I started taking transparencies in 1957 with an Ilford Advocate camera and a hand-held meter. Eventually I purchased a Mamiya Sekor and various lenses. Now I use a Canon AE-1 with a 35-235mm lens; as many of my pictures were taken while walking with a group, the zoom was most useful.

I joined the NDPS in 1975 and with the help of the members, my photography improved from that day on. Landscapes are my favourite subjects but I will photograph anything that interests me.

I intend to stay with transparencies for the foreseeable future.
