Mark Cotter, Secretary

I have always been kind of interested in photography for years but it is only with the advent of digital that I have really taken it up. Having started out with an Olympus Camedia 2000Z in 1999, I progressed through various Olympus prosumer compacts until I bought a Canon EOS 10D in late 2003. I had intended to do a photography course and learn how an SLR worked before buying a digital version; however, I didn’t do a course and decided to buy the camera and then learn how it worked. I’m still learning. As members of the Society will know, I am interested in sports and drama photography. I always thought that I would be interested in landscape but I’m too impatient. Favourite photographers? Bill Brandt, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Ansel Adams. And given the standard of photography at the Society, there are members whose work I greatly admire: but I’m not saying whom.
