I have had an interest
in photography since childhood.
My first “real”
camera was a Russian Zenit [Zenith] and with encouragement
from a work colleague I dabbled in black and white developing
and printing for a few years.
“Up grading” to a
Pentax I moved on to taking mostly slides building up a huge
library of tropical marine fish and invertebrates
transparencies. I was/am a keen fish keeper and regularly gave
lectures on my second hobby.
I “upgraded” again
to Canon EOS cameras with the usual range of lens/flash etc.
My first digital was a
Kodak “house brick” paying £350 for it and I can recall
paying a further £60 for a 4MB card!
More recently I have
purchased two Canon digital EOS cameras with a wide range of
lens, filters and flash guns etc. I also carry a small compact
digital with me most of the time “just in case” I need it.
As can be seen from my
gallery my main interest is photographing anything with a
maritime theme and in particular yachts on the Norfolk Broads.
