I bought my first camera when I was about fifteen; it was an Ensign Selfix 450 and was bought for the sole purpose of photographing steam trains.  This camera lasted me until my National service when posted to Singapore I purchased a Pentax, model number unknown but I know it cost me £25 including a leather ever-ready case.  This lasted until the middle seventies when I bought a Canon AV1, I have had Canons ever since.  Steam trains are still my main photographic interest but I will have go at most things with varying results.
