Annette gained her LRPS distinction in
December 2005. She says:
I have been working for about six months to build up a body of
work from which to select and arrange a panel of ten
photographs.
I have always liked toned, monochrome images and have
experimented with various digital toning techniques. I wanted
to make up a panel of these and had to consider getting a
balanced final result, with an even distribution of different
toned effects on either side and strongly toned images in the
centre. In the end, I also included two very muted colour
images, one on either side of the panel.
I was unable to attend the assessment session in Bath, at the
beginning of November, so had to submit my work by post. The
result was sent to me two weeks later. Successful applicants
are not given their marks!
